A very upscale Asian Restaurant and Lounge located in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, approached us for a cost to rebuild the 4 chambers on their traditional water cooled gas fired Chinese wok range. After finding out that it would cost thousands of dollars to repair their current 13 year old unit, we suggested they entertain a new unit. We recommended the Jade wok range with Dry-Flow chambers. This unit is so heavily insulated, the constant flow of water over the top of the range used to keep the unit cool, isn’t needed. We arranged for the customer to visit another local restaurant that had one installed 2 years ago. Most importantly, we teamed up with their Director of Facilities to do a projected water savings. According to our initial calculations, the new unit would pay for itself in water and sewer savings within 18 months. The Jade wok range was ordered and installed in April. It is working great but it appears that our initial savings projections were a little off…..the Jade range will pay for itself in only 15 months. Score ONE for the good guys! Happy customers are our target audience!
